Sales is a core critical function at Sustenir in powering our vision. A single plant is nurtured through many different hands, all with the same goal: to ensure the best growth of our greens for people and planet. The **Business Development Manager (HORECA) **will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of our business.
You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities for Sustenir’s portfolio from fresh to value added products, developing strategic partnerships, and fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the HORECA industry.
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and an indirect reporting to General Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Sales team and Supplier management team to identify key markets to enter and sell our portfolio of products to achieve revenue targets and contribute to the overall success of the company.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- **Product and Service Knowledge**: Develop a deep understanding of the products or services offered by Sustenir and the market we play in. Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to effectively propose products and solutions fit for HORECA customers. Prepare a detailed business development plan by selecting the right products, price and business plan for HORECA customers.
- **Client Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential HORECA clients, including hotels, restaurants, catering businesses, and event venues. Understand their specific needs, preferences, and pain points to tailor solutions that address their unique requirements.
- **Solution Proposal and Presentation**: Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, presentations, and pitches to each individual HORECA clients, highlighting the value proposition of our products or services. Customize proposals to align with the needs and objectives of each client, focusing on how your offerings can help them improve operations or enhance customer experiences and in relation increase sales.
- **Negotiation and Contract Management**: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with new and existing HORECA clients to secure new business deals. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts are drafted and executed in accordance with company policies and objectives.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**:Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives. Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to inform strategic decision-making and product development initiatives.
- **Reporting and analysis**: Track, analyze and report on business development activities, providing regular updates to the Head of Sales. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop action plans to address any gaps or areas for improvement.

**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- 5 years and above experience in HORECA industry with business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the food and fresh produce industry.
- Strong understanding of the food and fresh produce industry, including key players, market dynamics, and emerging trends.

- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and building rapport with clients. You should be able to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
