We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Senior Vice President, Head of NBFI.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Lead a team to drive increased and targeted coverage of the Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) sector, demonstrating knowledge and experience of the sector, to deliver strong and sustainable growth
- The role is based within the ISB Singapore team, but will focus on both inbound referrals and the broader domestic landscape, reporting to the Country Head of ISB
- The role will be to grow the NBFI proposition from Singapore, by engaging, collaborating and influencing key stakeholders. Working alongside these key stakeholders where appropriate, you will take ownership of developing a strategy and framework around product proposition for the sector, business development and marketing, risk appetite including sub-sector, credit, financial crime, reputational risk and regulatory compliance
- A key part of the role will be to continually coach and develop your team in both technical/sector knowledge and relationship management skills
- Promote the importance of adhering to HSBC’s policies and procedures, ensuring all team members have an in-depth understanding of risks and suitable mitigants
- As an ambassador of the Bank and a specialist in the sector, you will drive relationships with external parties, marketing the capabilities and expertise of HSBC
- You will be close to market developments and keep abreast of regulatory, economic and sector matters

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Solid experience of the NBFI sector
- Good knowledge of and proven exposure to a broad range of banking products and services, across CMB, GLCM, GB&M
- Proven experience of business development and origination
- Leadership experience
- Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively
- A comprehensive understanding of risk management of all kinds and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance
