Accounting Manager

Responsibilities of this role includes managing and overseeing the daily operations of incoming and outgoing payments of Wetalk Education Pte Ltd. and its subsidiaries including but not limited to the abovementioned.
The Accounting Manager will delegate, supervise, and participate in accounting department tasks, oversee the recording, tracking, and reporting of financial information, hire, train, and motivate accounting staff members. Moreover, the Accounting Manager is the one who will establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
**Responsibilities of the role**:
- Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
- Make sure to comply with the accounting and tax laws.
- Able to manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department that includes; accounts payable and receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury and budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs and fixed asset and debt activity.
**Required skills and qualifications**:
- Must have bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- Experience in Management, Accounting, or related to the field
- Must be knowledgeable in accounting principles
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Great understanding of accounting, finance and management principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task to handle multiple accounts effectively
- Broad knowledge in computers, bookkeeping software and MS office.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to financial reports of the company
- Attention to details and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
