Key duties and responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly financial closing activities, including full quarterly closing and appropriate accounting for intercompany recharges.
- Prepare financial statements, GST and other external reporting for the service entity.
- Provide support in the preparation of Board meeting presentations and quarterly group reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all reconciliations.
- Evaluate internal controls, including conducting risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
- Assist in tax audit and other queries related to the service entity.
- Ensure proper accounting for SLA recharges and documentation.
- Identify areas for process improvement and possible automation to mitigate risks.
- Actively participate in relevant Group or local projects, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Duration: 12 months contract with a potential to be converted to a permanent role
**Experience**:
- 6 - 7 years of accounting experience with some audit experience will be preferred
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
- SAP knowledge will be an advantage
