**Senior Network Engineer**
As part of our continued expansion, we are on the lookout for a Senior Network Engineer to join our growing network team. Based in Singapore, the successful individual will join the global team currently spread across Europe & North America.
This position will have a primary focus on the design, deployment and ongoing management of a global network infrastructure. This role will also be central to the development of key network automation services. The Continent 8 global backbone network spans North America, Europe and Asia enabling all of our Cloud, Network and Security products and services.
**The Role**
As a Senior Network Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in the planning, configuration, and deployment of the company’s highly available network environment, including switches, routers, load balancers, DDoS mitigation devices and other hardware.
- Making recommendations and providing technical guidance to solve business problems and improve network availability.
- Researching network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of future network development efforts.
- Participating in various technology projects, some of which will be internal and some that are in support of customer-facing services.
- Providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced operational & support team members.
- Creating and maintaining current documentation/ Wiki entries.
- Create and improve simple, repetitive deployment processes/ runbooks that increase both velocity and quality of delivery.
- Work closely with our software teams in defining the tools that enable infrastructure scaling at volume.
- Develop ways to automate common operational & validation & repeatable build tasks.
**Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required**
- Required 8-10 years experience working in a network position, either operations, deployment or design and extensive experience with Juniper network platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of IP Networking protocols BGP, OSPF, MPLS etc and hands-on experience managing large international networks.
- Experience and practical knowledge of network automation practices using Ansible playbook and Python programming.
- Working knowledge in a Linux environment in addition to traditional networking.
- Comfortable working with ambiguous or vaguely defined challenges in finding technical solutions.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Industry recognised certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCP, JNCIE, and DEV-NET are desired.
