Associate Director, Commercial

**Job Purpose**:
Support GM, Commercial Operations Asia South in developing and implementing the commercial strategies supporting the commercial business growth in Asia South. This position will build CSL Behring sales and marketing capabilities in the Region and maintain strong partnership with our distributors and toll partners to achieve sales objectives.

**Main Responsibilities**

**Commercial strategy development & implementation**
- Develop and implement commercial strategies supporting commercial business growth in Asia South markets
- Lead and achieve In-Market Sales in countries and expenses objectives approved by company management to achieve annual financial budgets.
- Responsible for sustainable business growth of responsible territories.
- Understand market access & develop market insight and partner relations.

**Build long term local relationship and network**
- Build and maintain strong business partnership relationships with key stakeholders.
- Maintain good working relationship with local thought leaders and relevant business partners.

**Develop market through partner management**
- Partner with distributors to engage key customers and develop in-depth understanding of delegated markets.
- Contribute to implementation of CSL Behring distribution strategy by collecting and analyzing industrial market trends, prices and other related information.
- Ensure CSL Behring sales and marketing strategies are implemented properly by partners by working closely with their commercial team.
- Support the development of sales and marketing capabilities in partner markets to fully exploit business potential of current product and new launches.
- Establish and manage structured business management processes to improve efficiency and quality of sales, with focus on Partner Management.
- Collect in time market and competitor information for analysis and strategic planning.
- Support local partners to drive in-market sales through well planned field execution and regular monitoring of stock level in distributors.

**Cross function collaborations**
- Develop market penetration strategy together with marketing and medical affair team and drive the execution
- Support and roll out programs in accordance with the agreed marketing strategies laid down by the management.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs Team and provide professional services to medical customers (hospitals, drug stores, clinics) and KOL and maintain rapport with them through visits, field work, and group meetings.
- Collaborate with business development, product management, supply chain and regulatory management in conjunction with relevant internal CSL expert management team supporting business in the related functional and geographical areas.
- Work with Marketing and Business Development to identify and develop new business/product opportunities.

**Requirements**:

- University graduate preferably in science and with MBA
- Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and/or commercial experience with at least 3 years spent in key management position
- Proven experience from major Multinational Pharmaceutical Companies is desirable
- 1 to 2 years exposure in overseas assignment
- 1 to 2 years of Regional sales experience

Proven record in partner management and/or business development
- Comfortable operating in an international/matrix environment, with a strong ability to lead and influence across geographies, manage conflicts and deal with cultural diversity.
- Strong results orientation, coupled with proven track record of success in managing distributors
- Collaboration, interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills.
- Excellent in oral and written English and preferably a second language useful in AS region

**Additional Comments**:

- Significant Asia region travel required
