Thales is deploying its state-of-the-art Distributed Intelligent Video Analytics (DIVA) system in the North-East MRT Line (NEL) in Singapore. DIVA is being deployed progressively in the five major interchange stations of NEL (Serangoon, Chinatown, Dhoby Ghaut, Little India and Outram Park). DIVA taps video streams from the existing NEL analog CCTV cameras and performs concurrent real-time intelligent video analytics using distributed computing. This position is with the Systems Engineering team in Singapore. The person joining the team will be working on the DIVA system integration. In the course of your work, you will learn and understand on how to tailor DIVA and integrate it into the existing CCTV systems of NEL. You will help with the automation of our engineering process to ease DIVA customization. You will also work with the system engineering team on DIVA data visualization and verification.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Main tasks and responsibilities involve customization of DIVA to seamlessly integrate it into NEL’s existing CCTV systems, automation of DIVA configuration, and participate in the data visualization and verification. The person should also be proactive to help the team in any other areas within the scope of systems engineering.

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of Computer Science or any related technical field (e.g., IT, Engineering), and interested in doing Systems Engineering
- Experience or proficiency in Linux systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian)
- Experience in network or having good knowledge of network concepts
- Knowledge in virtualization/containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, VMware, VirtualBox)
- Knowledge or experience in the following is a plus:CCTV, video management systems, Video Analytics software
