Turbomachinery Systems Engineer

To support the Gas seal system business globally by supporting the Sales & Business Development teams and Customers, specifically in Asia Pacific region. The main function of this role includes pre order Engineering, Techno-commercial proposals, Site visits & Services (onshore & offshore), Business Development, Training, and business reporting. To manage and execute Turbomachinery projects within the scheduled timeframe and budget allocated.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage and execute Dry Gas Seal & Support System Retrofit / Upgrade projects within the scheduled timeframe and budget allocated
- Prospect and conduct feasibility studies on the complete Turbomachinery portfolio related opportunities, including pursuing the necessary follow-up activities
- Support company’s Global Initiatives, Strategies, and New Product Development and Business Development.
- Feed and Pre-Order engineering study
- Create and manage detailed technical and commercial proposals along with justifications for important (turnkey) projects.
- Review of technical/project specifications from customer. Support and proof-read technical reports before issuing to customers.
- Ensure project is executed to company’s quality standards and customers’ expectations.
- Monitor & control project schedules and prepare project activity reports & required project documentation.
- Conduct sales and technical presentation (including on-site training) on Turbomachinery related products and to support existing business and identify new opportunities
- Provide customers with technical support and solutions, including field service, commissioning, troubleshooting, and training as may be required from time to time
- Maintain excellent service and build good rapport with customers and stakeholders
- Report the system business update on regular basis for Asia Pacific region and track on the opportunities, sales and services
- Supporting the complete product life cycle by closely working with the JC system design & manufacturing locations (CoEs) and Global Engineering/International Support Center (ISC)
- Liaise with intercompany departments globally and contractors to support procurement, manufacturing & assembly, quality testing machining, fabrication and assembly works as & when required
- Assist Turbomachinery Group on special assignments as and when required

**The Individual**
**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation/ Electrical & Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering or in a similar field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience of Turbomachinery products and some knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry.
- Instrumentation - Knowledge in Selection, Operation and Maintenance.
- Familiar with international standards like API, ISO, ASME, NACE, ISA, and other common industrial standards
- Familiar with Shell DEP and other major End User standards are added advantage.
- Familiar with process simulation software like HYSIS or CHEMCAD is an added advantage
- Working knowledge of a drafting package for 2D / 3D. SOLID EDGE is preferred.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated to achieve results with mínimal direct supervision with the ability to work alone or as part of the larger team.
- Strong analytical & reporting skills as will be required to generate reports and analyze data.
- Confident and able to deal with very challenging situations in a calm and credible manner.
- Team player and willingness to travel up to a maximum 30% of time if needed.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office suite.
