Our APAC and EMEA based multidisciplinary marketing teams support client projects with strategy, ideation and execution across social media, data analytics, events, paid media, content and CRM.
**HR Specialist**
Maker Lab is built on talents, not products. As our HR Specialist, you’ll create and manage our core employee relations focused processes and structures across APAC when working with the rest of the Employee Relations and Talent & HR Ops teams. Our team is small but mighty and we all continue to build Maker Lab as if it's our own.
You’re a go-getter and a self-starter - someone who is able to navigate in a fast-paced and matrix environment. You’ll provide operational support and advisory within an ever-evolving business setting. You're able to establish strong relationships and partnerships; dynamic and self-served frameworks, automated workflows as we strengthen our talent & HR infrastructure and drive organisational success as the business continues to develop and scale across the globe.
**Role**:
- Partner with the Employee Relations & HR Ops, Talent Acquisition and Business/Finance Ops teams throughout all the relevant employee relational and operational touchpoints.
- Fully dedicated to ensuring a positive talent, employee and client experience through all employee journeys that positively surprises them.
- Establish, execute and maintain internal HR processes and policy portals while continuously making changes to the infrastructure, programmes and initiatives.
- Support with learning and wellbeing programmes and compensation & benefits related experiences.
- Support with all stages of onboarding of new employees, act as the key point of contact for enquiries for employees and clients alike.
Help to maintain employee records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
- Assist superiors with payment and payroll matters; oversees and check claims during monthly payroll.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable resources as aligned with the government requirements.
- Other ad hoc support may be needed across various HR and Talent matters.
**You**:
- At least 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR/Talent/People Ops Specialist, or an Employee Experience, L&D and Talent Management specialist keen to expand your HR exposure.
- Experience with setting up, implementing and communicating processes and SOPs with committed accountability to quick turnarounds when juggling around competing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of HR operational practices and a decent understanding of HR related regulations, policies and compliances across APAC.
- Strong communications skills for regular verbal and written communication across the company.
- A sense of ownership and pride in your own performance and its impact on the company’s success by not letting the BAU distract you from success.
- Hyper organised and able to take initiative when bringing solutions to the table.
- Positive mindset, critical thinker with problem-solving skills, requiring little supervision
- Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentations skills and, ideally, fluent in another Asian language to support projects spanning across JAPACTags
