RESEARCH & EXPOSURE SCIENCE

NATIONAL CENTRE FOR FOOD SCIENCE

**Duties**:
Officer will be expected to:

- Develop and implement statistical, machine learning or time-series models, to strengthen risk assessment for early preparedness and management of foodborne diseases
- Create appropriate visualisations to communicate data insights effectively
- Support in the collection, processing, analysis and sharing of food safety and biosurveillance related data
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams responsible for the national food safety monitoring programme

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge in data science techniques and concepts, with sound understanding of their potentials and limitations when applied to use cases
- Proficient at using R or Python, and Tableau or PowerBI
- Good interpersonal skills and highly driven, with the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
