INFANT SPECIALIST/ EDUCARER

Main job responsibility is to take care of children aged from 2 months - 18 months, planning and carrying out the daily developmental and care giving tasks. The educarer also needs to attend to the health, hygiene and safety needs of the infants and toddlers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Plan and implement Early Years Development Framework (EYDF) to meet the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the infants and toddlers
- Provide a safe and clean learning environment for the care and development of children in the school
- Prepare activities, apparatus and equipment to support the various curriculum areas planned for the children
- Ensure that the school’s service meet the needs of children and families

**Experience, Qualifications and Training Requirement**:
Has the Certificate in Infant and Toddler Care and Development (CIT)/ Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC)/ Advanced Certificate In Early Years (ACEY) ;
Has a valid first aid certificate recognised by ECDA; and
Has at least 1 year teaching experience in a child care/ infant care setting.

OR

Is a State Registered Nurse (SRN);
**Knowledge and Skills Required**:
Has passion and love for children
Demonstrate good active communicative skills
Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices
Ability to work well with children and families
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
