Senior Production Technician

General Function:

- Under supervision of the Manufacturing Engineer or designee, operates all the labeling and packaging machines as well as auxiliary equipment to produce Bactec products. Performs set-up and cleaning of equipment. Maintains Equipment under own responsibility in good conditions. Notifies immediately the Manufacturing Facilitator or designee of any deviation form normal operation of the equipment. Brings all required materials to the production area and moves finished products to the appropriate areas. Generates documentation for material movements in accordance with company policy. Keeps close control of materials in production area to ensure smooth flow of materials. Notifies Manufacturing Facilitator or Shift Leader of any actual or potential shortage. Follows QSR, ISO, safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide support in machine enhancement, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of equipment, project execution, accountability on Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost, as well as the overall technicians resource management in production.

**Job Description**:1.01Performs mechanical set-up and operates all the labeling and packaging machines as well as auxiliary equipment to produce Bactec products following approved procedures. Monitors quality of products through inspections.

1.02Prepares materials to be used in the labeling and packaging operations. Utilizes production plans and SAP system to ensure that adequate levels of both direct and indirect raw materials are kept in the production area, and notifies Manufacturing Engineer or designee of any actual or potential shortage.

1.03Accurately records all data required by production documentation following QSR and ISO regulations.

1.04Follows good clean area practices and maintains labeling and packaging areas and equipment in good conditions.

1.05Interprets labeling and packaging instructions on Products Batch Records. Plans and inspects own work to comply with departments’ production schedules. Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal forms. Deals with routine situations with occasional variables that require interpretation.

1.06Notifies Manufacturing Engineer or designee of any deviation from normal operation. Assists in trouble-shooting and in performing corrective action for equipment malfunction or breakdown.

1.07Active participation in Lean Activities.

1.08Complete batch production device history records.

1.09Ensures that cleaning procedures and housekeeping are performed.

1.10Needs to use judgment to make minor decisions in order to maximize the operations.

1.11Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability. Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement and reduction of resource materials.

Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.

1.13Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accountability: Observing GMP rules and procedures.

1.14Observe BD Code of Ethics.

1.15Participate in continuous improvement initiative / activities.

1.16Follow Shift Leader instructions or designee for machine station assignment or duties.

1.17Perform simple to moderately complex machine mechanical troubleshoot. Provide support to Maintenance Technician in the event of a major machine breakdown.

1.18Operates lifting/moving equipment for moving raw materials & finished products from & to warehouse following safety rules and ensuring proper handling of equipment and product.

1.19Supply raw materials to machine according to required frequency.

1.20Willing to rotate positions & perform any other tasks as assigned.
