**Production Planner**

Mercantile is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Planner for our production department that refurbishes high volume and high mix mobile devices, your primary responsibility is to ensure efficient and effective production planning to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing production delays. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, procurement, and logistics, to develop and execute production plans that align with company goals and customer requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Production Planning: Develop production plans and schedules based on customer demand, production capacity, and inventory levels. Consider the unique challenges of high volume and high mix production, varying production lead times, and changing demand patterns. Monitor and adjust production plans as necessary to meet changing requirements and resolve production issues.

Resource Allocation: Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure availability of materials, components, and resources required for production. Optimize resource allocation to maximize production efficiency and minimize costs, while maintaining quality standards.

Capacity Planning: Evaluate production capacity and capability to identify constraints and bottlenecks. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement strategies to increase production capacity, improve productivity, and reduce cycle times.

Production Monitoring: Track production progress against planned schedules and report on production status and performance metrics, such as production yield, cycle time, and on-time delivery. Identify and address any deviations from the plan and implement corrective actions as needed.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and increase overall operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure smooth production operations. Collaborate on product design changes, new product introductions, and production capacity planning to meet customer demand.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production planning documentation, including production schedules, production orders, and work instructions. Generate regular reports on production performance, inventory levels, and production KPIs for management review.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a production planner in a high-volume, high-mix electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production planning principles, including capacity planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and production scheduling.
- Knowledge of electronic device manufacturing processes, BOM management, and production lead times.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate production plans and status to stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in production planning and documentation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $3,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month
