**Overview of Role**
The job purpose of this role is to contribute to the healthier lives of people and better healthcare solution through the supply of pharmaceuticals in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Group.
As a leader of ASEAN regional hub, this role is also expected to contribute to enhancing the profitability of the company through planning and executing the business strategy, strengthening the existing business foundation, and building new business in ASEAN region for the sustainable growth of the company under collaboration with Japan HQ and regional affiliates.
As such, this position is required to be familiar and well versed with Japan HQ and to have good communication with them as well as the representative in regional affiliates.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Overview
- Overseeing the entire company.
- Create and support synergies from a cross-sectional perspective on the company.
- Formulate and execute business plans and budgets.
- Management and support of operations entrusted by business Divisions.
- Management from a management perspective regarding other common matters of the organisation.
2. Corporate Planning
- Develop and execute the business strategies to achieve short-term and long-term objectives.
- Strategic decision making by researching and analysing industries, markets and competitors to make strategic decisions.
- Create initiatives to take advantage of market opportunities, reduce operational threats, foresee business risks and maximise core strengths of the company.
3. Corporate Management
- Ensure all efforts and corporate activities are in alignment with the objectives of Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Group in close cooperation with the Japan HQ, officers in charge and related departments of the Group.
- Oversee the financial performance of the company and its capital investments.
- Annual Budget Planning and Analysis of the company and ASEAN region.
- Oversight of ASEAN affiliates’ business on monthly and yearly basis.
- Transfer Price Planning and Coordination with HQ and ASEAN affiliates.
4. Business Development
- Plan and execute suitable business scheme of each product in ASEAN region.
- In and Out-License of product for ASEAN countries.
5. Finance and Accounting
- Payment Processing & Cash Management.
- Daily and month-end check of financial reports e.g., PL, BS & CF, to secure compliance.
- Year-end financial closing.
6. Order Coordination and Stock control
- Order management activities to create rolling order forecast, to coordinate purchase order taking into consideration the manufacturing plan based on discussion with HQ and third-party supplier and also the affiliates’ sales forecast.
- Stock control activities to oversee inventory level.
7. Internal Control
- Internal Control to establish and maintain internal rules/SOPs.
- Plan and execute training / meeting to gain better understanding of HQ’s global policies and Code of Conduct.
- Liaise with Corporate Secretary for BODM, AGM, etc and organise legal documents to be submitted to the authorities, inter alia, ACRA, in order to appropriately comply with the Companies Act and relevant regulations.
- Document Control to properly control the company’s official documents.
- Manage personal data, such as establishing proper rules, and to implement the process under such rules.
8. Human Resources
- Talent management including to delegate responsibilities, supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
- Plan and execute recruiting plan of necessary personnel.
- Establish and maintain the company’s rules and system for salary, evaluation and working arrangement, and annual review of salary and performance bonus based on the said salary system and each employee's performance.
9. IT
- Establish IT policies toward efficient operation.
- Provide solution to the issues in cooperation with IT specialists in HQ and group companies.
10. General Affairs and Others
- Respond various surveys required by HQ and industrial association regarding CSR, compliance, HR, etc.
- Communicate and maintain trusted relationship with key stakeholders.
- Any other corporate planning/management activities, including office planning.
**Qualifications**
- At least 10 years experience within pharmaceutical company.
- Familiar and well versed in Japanese corporate way of working as this position works closely with Japan HQ.
- Possess strong understanding of company’s products, internal workflow and communication channel with Japan HQ.
- Good knowledge about business of global pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in sales and marketing in pharmaceutical industry (preferable).
- Experience in people management.
- Fluency in English (mandatory) and Japanese (preferable) as this position works closely with Japan HQ.
- IT: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (to provide solution) and good skill in other Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word).
