Senior Merchandising and Buying Executive

**_Roles & Responsibilities
- **
The Merchandising and Buying Executive strategically manages product portfolios for both online and offline channels, developing sales-driven strategies and identifying growth opportunities. He/She negotiates contracts with the brand, ensuring product availability and maintaining quality standards. He/She curates products, optimizes placement, and creates compelling content to enhance the customer experience in both online and offline environments. Additionally, He/She oversees new product launches, analyses sales data, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive sales and achieve business objectives.
In particular, you will:
- Select and manage a portfolio of products in line with company objectives and market trends to support sales forecasting and planning.
- Develop merchandising strategies that drive sales and improve the customer experience in collaboration with the Merchandising and Buying Lead.
- Identify market trends and opportunities and make data-driven decisions to capitalize on these opportunities in collaboration with the Merchandising and Buying Lead.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising and Buying Lead to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure product availability.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Responsible for product curation, ensuring optimal product placement, and creating compelling content to maximize conversion rates and enhance the customer experience on the store page. They collaborate with the digital team and marketing team to set rules for search results that benefit the entire star brand portfolio.
- Managing new product launches by developing and executing effective marketing and merchandising strategies to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
- Analyse sales data and performance metrics in collaboration with the Merchandising and Buying Lead to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to improve sales performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operation, marketing, and digital team to ensure that products are properly promoted, priced, and placed in stores or online to support sales planning and forecasting.
- Implement promotional strategies, such as discounts, bundles, and gift-with-purchase offers, to support sales planning and forecasting.
- Submit purchase orders to vendors in a timely and accurate manner to support inventory management.
We believe that you will be a great fit for this role if you:
- Degree in business, marketing, merchandising or a related field.
- 3 years or more of experience in brand and category management, buying, merchandising
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
