Facilities Development Engineering Manager/director

The Facilities Development Engineering Manager/Director oversees a diverse team focusing on innovative Facilities solutions, capital planning, capacity tracking and planning processes, and transferring those solutions worldwide. The Manager/Director also provides oversight and leadership around technology development’s sustainability initiatives.

**Key Areas of Focus**:

- Engage with Technology Development to deliver innovative Facilities systems and provide oversight to transferring those solutions worldwide resulting in delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient solutions.
- Focus on driving Facilities automation to improve overall department efficiencies.
- Partner with the Corporate Facilities team to deliver facilities of the future roadmap.
- Provide oversight to the Facilities capital planning business process to ensure the team is properly budgeting all capital for Facilities base build projects, the tool installs, and any scenarios required.
- Lead business processes to track Facilities systems capacity to ensure systems are available to meet our Technology Development roadmap.
- Develop and execute Technology Development’s Sustainability roadmap.
- Partner with Corporate Sustainability team to deliver to goals and provide sustainability of technology roadmap transfer efficiencies.
- Understand competitive Facilities and Sustainability landscape, benchmark Micron’s performance, drive improvements and cost efficiencies based on benchmarking, industry knowledge
- Strong collaboration skills to ensure effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

**Develop People**:

- Attract and retain the best Facilities and Sustainability experts in the world. Utilize effective performance management, succession planning, training, and leadership development to grow the team
- Invest time in coaching and mentoring people
- Help team members learn, grow, and stay current on the latest facilities and sustainable development that will support and enhance their area of expertise
- Encourage the team and network to innovate and to be creative
- Plan and schedule program timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

**Education**
Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or related field

**Experience**:

- 8+ years experience in semiconductor or facilities related engineering
- 5+ years of management experience
- At least 1 year of experience in sustainability-related initiatives
- Experience in managing multiple projects and collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders and consultants
- Strong interpersonal skillset, ensuring clear and sound communication
- Capable of compiling executive-level reports and presentation materials
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
- Program and Project management experience
