Manager, Sustaining Engineering This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office. We are looking for a sustaining engineering manager who will work as a member of the manufacturing engineering team and is technical savvy to provide leadership and engineering support oversight for manufacturing and field related product failure analysis and root cause analysis, continuous improvements, robust component and sub-system qualification process strategy, and sustaining engineering activities. Then we have the right opportunity for you **_ What you will be responsible for:_** - This position is based in Singapore. - Provide leadership in supporting current products through - Evaluating and qualifying alternate components/sub-systems for use on our current products to achieve cost savings and assurance of supply. - Conducting root cause of product defects from the field/customer and driving closure of any manufacturing test gaps. - Provide strategic and tactical direction and inspire team through technical and leadership coaching. - Drive focus in the teams to achieve key metrics of the business. - Manage and support sudden change of priorities for the team. - Engage and drive lite board design changes through schematic capture and layout. - Manage yearly budget for the sustaining engineering team. - Support and collaborate with cross functional team, internal and outsourced manufacturing partners for all sub-systems, systems, equipment, validation, test executions and results evaluation. - Work from the lab at least 25% of time but it can vary. **_ About You:_** - Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. - More than 10 years in related experience. Engineering roles with design background is an advantage. - Experience in eMMC, DDR, Oscillator, IBC, power supply qualification. - Strong fundamentals in electronics engineering with good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good understanding of circuit analysis and component characteristics. - Familiar with product and component qualification tests. - Extensive experience with lab equipment (e.g. high speed oscilloscope, etc.). - Self-motivated individual, results oriented and strong follow through skills. - Experience in Manufacturing test board and system. - Experience in electronics board design and layout. - Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills. - Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language. - Good understanding of the company’s policies and processes.
