**Position Name: Engineer R&D**

**Position Location: Singapore, Tuas Loop**

**Responsibilities & Requirements**:

- You will be responsible for leading the R&D projects and preparing working processes and procedures.
- You will also support R&D work carried out by global team and will work alongside an existing team of Product engineers/ SME.
- You will be required to use your own experience and expertise to help develop and adopt additive manufacturing technology capabilities and processes.
- You will help to plan and design test and experiments, perform the physical testing, acquire, and analyze the results and summarize into a report.
- You will be conducting Testing/ Materiel evaluation for additive manufactured parts as per industry standards/ guidelines.
- You will provide support for the design and manufacturing teams to help solving issues by providing solutions and root cause analysis, if required, with sound engineering judgement and rationale.
- You will help on parts screening / identifying parts for optimized design, performance using advanced manufacturing technology in flow control products.
- And any other duties as assigned.

**Preferred Experience / Skills**:

- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of working experiences in MNC companies.
- Previous engineering experience in working with global teams leading R&D projects.
- Proficiency in writing engineering/test reports to convey testing methods and conclusions.
- Solid understanding in design of experiments (DoE), Root cause analysis & problem-solving experience.
- Experience in developing testing programs to meet customer or industry specifications.
- Proficiency using 2D and 3D CAD packages i.e. SolidWords, Autodesk Inventor or others.
- Understanding on CAM packages and traditional machining capability, i.e. turning, milling, drilling & CNC.
- Review part drawings to identify critical features, improvements for additive manufacturing.
- Refine CAD data for design of manufacturing, Design supports, and generate build files for printing.
- Experience with industry recognized design codes & calculation methods.
- Experience with Numerical simulation expertise - FEA (linear, non-linear, static & dynamic)
- Experience with additive manufacturing and simulation software, Working knowledge of topological optimization modeling.
- Fundamental knowledge of Fluid and Thermo dynamics with a focus on Additive Manufacturing.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills to including report writing, requirements derivation, and documentation, as well as good presentation skill to communicate to all levels in the organization.
