Job Description for Research Engineer (Cleanroom Silicon Device Processing)
This position resides in the Quantum Materials and Devices group at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), A*STAR. As part of our research team, you will contribute to the development of processes for the fabrication of devices, characterise the materials/devices as needed, and document results and process recipes for our research towards building Si-based quantum devices. You will support the Principal Investigator in operational matters related to this scope of work.
Main Responsibilities
Design and fabrication of atomic precision Si devices.
Develop cleanroom fabrication process recipes.
Device characterization and measurements.
Provide technical documentation and manuscript writing.
Contribute to or lead in grant writing depending on the level of experience.
Job Requirements
MSc degree in physics, applied physics, materials science, electrical-electronics engineering, or related fields.
Laboratory experience in cleanroom materials processing and device fabrication. Well-versed in lithography and etching techniques.
Ability to work unsupervised and collaboratively within a team.
Resourceful in problem-solving and critical thinking.
Meticulous and analytical in experimental work.
Good presentation skills (written and verbal).
Good command of English.
