Our client is an MNC Consultancy involved in various infrastructure development projects in Singapore.

**About the role**:
The role is primarily to support the Singapore office to secure and deliver the Coastal and Flood Risk projects in Singapore. In addition, the successful individual will require to provide support to UK offices to deliver their Flood, Coastal, and Maritime projects.

It is primarily a technical role involving participation in maritime and coastal related civil engineering projects and studies. The individual will require performing design tasks, various studies, engineering management, client liaising, and communicating with other teams and offices.

The key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Design of coastal and coastal related structures
- Undertake various coastal studies
- Perform the projects/tasks within the agreed budget and programme
- Client liaising
- Attending meetings both internal external
- Progress monitoring & reporting
- Proposal preparation

**About you**:
Required Competencies
- CPD in the relevant specialist skill area
- BSc or MEng (Hons) Coastal Engineering
- Specialist knowledge of areas such as metocean studies, feasibility studies, Beach and shore management plan preparation, and detailed design
- Coastal engineering knowledge (tide, current, waves, wave overtopping, rubble mound structures, tidal and storm surge barriers, coast protection works)
- Sound knowledge of BS Maritime & Eurocode codes and industry-standard guidelines such as CIRIA and other relevant international standards and guidelines
- Performing calculations and desktop studies with limited guidance
- Project report writing
- Proposal writing
- Understands support needed by junior staff
- Team player
- Adaptable
- Experience work in multidisciplinary coastal projects
- At least 10 years of experience in planning, design and/or implementation of coastal, marine, reclamatin infrastructure projects
- Experience in project management in the planning, design and/or implementation of coastal, marine, reclamation infrastructure projects is a plus point
- Experience in client liaising and leading technical meetings

Education & training:

- BSc or MEng in Civil and Coastal Engineering
- A registered Professional / Chartered Engineer under the Civil / Coastal Engineering Discipline is a plus point

Background & experience:

- Post-graduation consultancy office experience

Knowledge base:

- Coastal engineering design & studies
- Knowledge of Eurocodes/BS 6349/CIRIA Guidelines

- Site assessments

- Feasibility studies
- Good experience in using design software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Client liaising
- Excellent interpersonal skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $9,000.00 - $11,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
