**In your role as part of the trading ops team you will handle the petroleum product of the business and act as an interface between traders, chartering, finance and contract admin department, and most importantly act as a hub between internal and external suppliers, customers and service providers working in the international markets.**

**- Handle ad-hoc tasks related to operations activities**

**- Liaise closely with ship broker/owner closely on voyage instruction, vessel movements, agent details and any operational issue that may arise.**

**- Constructively handle and settle claims together with the commercial and chartering teams**

**- Appoint independent surveyor for Quantity and Quality inspection as per contractual requirements and other additional analyses where necessary**

**- Incumbent will be utilizing in-depth shipping and laytime knowledge to compute, negotiate in the best interest of the company and settle laytime/demurrage claims in the most effective manner.**

**- Responsible for the timely preparation, review and finalization of laytime calculations with both internal and external counter parties.**

**- Interpreting charter party terms relating to actual events with the aim of achieving the most favorable commercial outcome for the company while maintaining professional approach and good commercial relationship.**

**- Liaising with in-house operations, commercial and legal departments on negotiation and settlement of laytime disputes**

**- Close communication with business partners such as Brokers, Agents and Owners.**

**- Establishing and maintaining good commercial relationship with key customers in order to provide feedback to the in-house commercial departments on laytime matters and minimize recovery period.**

**- Ensuring that accounting department has all information required to process relevant payables/receivables.**

**- Demurrage & Laytime calculations, ensure fixtures are concluded according to charter party clauses. Negotiation and settlement of demurrage and other voyage income matters.**

**- Providing expertise and advice on contractual clauses and laytime matters for better management of potential commercial risk.**

**- Responsible for setting up and maintaining internal database with the team.**

**- Produce monthly and ad hoc reports, and maintain and distribute demurrage metrics.**

**Requirements**:
**- Degree or Diploma.**

**- Meticulous and able to work in a fast-paced environment**

**- Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry is would be an advantage**

**- Min 6 months to 1 years of working experience in handling demurrage**

**- Self-discipline on keeping track of status for all outstanding claims.**

**- Understanding concept of Root cause and analysis**

**- A strong team player with good interpersonal skill.**

**- Meticulous and analytical.**

**- Able to work independently, responsible and able to work under pressure.
