**Demand Planning Analyst, SEA**
This role supports ASEAN S&OP demand planning process for assigned countries/accounts and you will be responsible to develop high quality demand forecast using assumptions based on cross-functional inputs, trends, new product introduction information and business/commercial knowledge. You will be supporting the Demand Manager with _Demand analytics _and execution of key _strategic projects_. This position will analyse history based on demand pattern and forecast ability, evaluate system algorithm selection accordingly and incorporate feedback from Demand planners to improve the statistical forecasting baseline, report and root cause analysis of Forecast Accuracy and Bias.
**The Position**:
- Drive monthly S&OP process for respective countries/accounts and serves as key contact between commercial and operations team.
- Generate insights out of forecast, running actuals to forward forecasting analytics to understand the data, trend, seasonality, cycle etc. to improve the existing forecasting. Sense-check statistical forecasts and highlight any unexpected trends or projections.
- Ensures Monthly Consensus forecast from individual account S&OP process is uploaded into SAP before dateline.
- Review and analyze forecast changes, conduct trend analysis, identifying risks / opportunities, and provide detailed analysis of changes, mitigation proposals.
- Work with relevant team to reconcile supply capability to demand plan to mitigate shortfalls and excess stock situations for new wins, production related shortages or un-forecasted demand spikes.
- Use of advanced tools/technique to do data cleaning, researching and collection of new data/demand drivers both internal and external, feature engineering, feature selection, selecting best models/algorithm using the right evaluation criteria to create best accurate forecast
- Close collaboration with Material and Production planners to drive efficient inventory level and OTD.
- Collaborate with cross functional team to drive the overall management and execution Strategic Supply Chain Projects like Safety stock, forecast improvement, Automation, Dashboarding project etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar fields
- Flavor and/or FMCG or related industry is an added advantage
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience within Supply Chain Planning
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good understanding of SAP and/or software related to demand planning is an added advantage
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
- Ability to write Excel Macro
- Experiences with BI tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau)
- Functional knowledge of analytical tools (R, SQL, Python, KNIME, Tableau, Alteryx etc.) is an added advantage
- Self-motivated, strongly disciplined and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and drive for excellence.
