Your new responsibilities
- Responsible for the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, i.e. bringing products from development into mass production, for a portfolio of (Optical and non-optical) Sensor Products.
- Gate keeper for handshake between development team (i.e. NPD, New Product Development) and NPI for the assigned portfolio. Making sure that all results, reports and deliverables are up to quality standards
- Establish, in alignment with all stakeholders, the safe-launch and ramp-up plan.
- Perform and support risk assessments (FMEAs)
- Secure the system readiness for mass production, by collecting and providing all the required information to the system owners (e.g. Bill Of Materials (BOM), Process flow specifics (e.g. UPH estimates, PCP, etc.), Traceability, Maverick lot limits, SYL/SBL, etc..)
- Drive yield improvement during NPI phase to achieve the launch yield targets. Support the yield target setting processes. Make recommendations to the Senior Manager NPI PE.
- Collect and review the data (deliverable checklist) to support the handover from NPI to Operations/Mass Production team.
- Support Operations during the first stages of the volume ramp up.
- Lead ‘taskforce teams’ on complex technical issues and/or with high customer exposure
- Drive internal process improvements (i.e. the NPI process) in alignment with the stakeholders in the product creation process.
- Lead structural yield improvement programs
- Coach and develop other members of the team

What we look for
- Master or Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a role as Product Engineer or Process Integration engineer in the semiconductor industry
- Solid knowledge of quality and problem solving tools, like 8D, FMEA, DOE, Fish-Bone Analysis, etc.
- Strong technical analysis competency with the use of analytical tools like JMP/Spotfire, Mini-Tab, etc.
- Knowledge of six sigma is a plus (i.e. Green Belt (or above) certified).
- Experience in project management is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing
