Singapore MERIT MEDICAL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Full time

**PURPOSE OF JOB**:

- Directly responsible for Plant’s operational Human Resource functions, including staffing, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development and employee relations.
- Building plant’s capabilities and journey of workforce workplace excellence through building of high performing leaders and teams in a supportive environment.

**JOB FUNCTION**:
**1. Staffing**:

- Responsible for the development and continuous improvement to the staffing policy.
- Oversee the recruitment function
- Talent acquisition, talent retention strategies and implementation

**2. **Compensation and Benefits**
- Responsible for reviewing internal and external pay equity through market salary survey data and make necessary recommendation to Plant Leadership.
- Align with Merit Medical Corporate on compensation and benefits strategy and cascade with localization wherever possible.
- Analyse the efficacy of total remuneration for job functions for the plant.
- Oversee payroll function for Singapore.

**3. **Cafeteria**
- Oversee the functioning of cafeteria and ensure that nutritious meals are provided to employees
- Ensure compliance to the Halal certification and various cafeteria audits.

**4. **Security**
- Get updates from Security Supervisor on all security related activities and ensure compliance to Corporate’s Security policies

**5. **Employee Relations, Culture Change and Transformation**
- Partner with line managers and employees to manage transformation and change process
- Communicate rational for major changes and generate innovative ideas to facilitate the awareness, acceptance of change that leads to assessment on impact of change. Thereafter to help employees adapt to changes to ensure organization receives positive impact of such changes
- Support core values alignment by conducting behavioral coaching to align behaviors to core values
- Spearhead MBES culture transformation and behavioural base coaching
- Communicate core values to employees and drive change in behavior through innovative ways of encouraging positive behavior

**6. **Organization Excellence**
- Understanding business needs, challenges and translate to design of programs to build organizational capabilities.
- Manage Organizational Learning Plan including identification of relevant soft skills
- Ensure that training is administrated and records are updated.
- Participate actively in plantwide projects to drive the engagement of employees at all levels.
- Lead the plant’s holistic workplace health in support of the business continuity management
- Lead plant-wide Reward & Recognition program
- Lead implementation of Succession Planning and Talent Development program.

**7. **Safety Regulation and Environmental Policy**
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by complying with all related safety regulations i.e. the Factories Act, the Fire Precautions for Buildings, etc and actively contributing to improve work safety

**8. **Any other duties**
- Manage the spend budget for the HR, Cafeteria and Security
- Review of HR procedures and ensure that procedures are updated
- Prepare budget, capex and controls expenditure for HR/Cafeteria/Security departments.
- Be a member of the Plant’s leadership team and Merit Business Excellence Systems (MBES) Steering Committee member, work on strategies and ensure the smooth and successful execution of the MBES.
- All other relevant duties as assigned by immediate facilitator.

**INTERACTION**

Close internal communication with all departments. External liaison with statutory boards, consultants etc.

- Degree in Human Resource Management with 8 years of relevant working experience
