Reservations Officer

Reporting to the Manager, Revenue & Reservation, the incumbent will be responsible for answering and responding effectively to all enquiries pertaining to the hotel’s rooms reservation in a knowledgeable, courteous and prompt manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Determine guests’ needs and quote the appropriate room and rate as per requirements and upsell the hotel products and services.
- Co-ordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure a smooth operation.
- Be knowledgeable of special rates, offers, promotions and packages.
- File and organize documents and maintain stationery and office supplies.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a confidential manner, when applicable.
- Adhere to the hotel’s health and safety policies.
- Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with the established policies.
- Report equipment failures/problems and repair requests to Engineering.
- Receive training in functions and operations of related departments/sections to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments/sections and to provide greater promotional opportunities.
- Assist guests in hotel reservations requests.
- Demonstrate the ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel brand experience.
- Ensure all reservation information in correspondences and reservations system is accurate.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude to deliver the highest level of service at all times.
- Be familiar with the hotel products and services (including operating hours and days for all outlets), hotel policies and computer system.
- Adhere to the process for FIT reservations.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with the established policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
- Maintain the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, and attitude towards all hotel guests, clients and colleagues.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar capacity from the hospitality industry.
- GCE A level/WSQ Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management, or its equivalent professional certification.
- Good verbal and excellent communication skills.
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem solving and organizational skills.
- Proficient in the use of computer.
- A team player who is also able to work independently.
- Able to work on shifts/weekends/public holidays.
