**MOORING CREW/ MARINE ASSISTANT**
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
1. To handle mooring of vessels at the jetty including receiving the make-fast vessel ropes in a safe manner
2. To assist in sampling of product on vessels after mooring.
3. To connect the loading arm to the vessel as instructed.
4. To standby during tanker discharge for responding to emergencies, etc.
5. To unmoor vessel after completion of discharge.
6. To maintain cleanliness at the jetty.
7. To perform other duties as assigned during slack hours.
8. The mooring crew shall participate in the following exercises as part of the training to respond to emergencies:
8.1 Annual Oil Pollution Exercise
8.2 Biennial Fire Exercise at the Jetty
8.3 International Shipping and Port Security Drills (Communication only)
8.4 A Four Point Mooring Exercise to be carried out once in 4 years (berthing of vessels at sea without any berth)
At all time, during their working hours, mooring crew is ready to respond to emergencies at the jetties such as fire, oil spill and security breaches.
The operations at the jetties are carried out 24 hours per day including Sundays and Public holidays.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably in marine or maritime industry
- Able to work in a team
CONTRACT: 2 YEARS
WORKING HOURS: 12HRS PER SHIFT (SHIFT WORK)
LOCATION: CHANGI EAST AREA
SALARY: $1,600.00 TO $2,600.00
