We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate EHS Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment. You will collaborate with cr0ss-functional teams to identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. You will also play a key role in promoting a safety culture and providing training to employees.
**A Day in the Life**
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to identify potential workplace hazards and environmental issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified safety risks and environmental aspects.
- Stay current with industry best practices and changes in EHS regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support the development and delivery of EHS training programs for employees.
- Participate in regular Tier meetings to review EHS performances.
- Participate in the development and improvement of emergency response plans.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of EHS data and prepare reports as required.
- Participate in EHS audits, inspections and Gemba walks to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement

- Bachelor’s degree required
- 0 years of experience required
**Your Profile**
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role or internship in EHS is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments and evaluate data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Certification such as Workplace Safety & Health Officer and Fire Safety Manager or equivalent are desirable.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
- knowledge of problem-solving processes such as root cause analysis or similar techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbones/Cause and Effect diagrams, or A3 Problem Solving.
- Attention to detail and strong commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
