We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a** Manager, Risk and Control.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Provide an unbiased and independent assessment on Risk and Control environment within HSBC Life. Challenge of RCA outputs, particularly the details of key controls
- Coordinate transformative programs across the entity, with a focus on business continuity management and process led NFR. This further includes review an update of business continuity plans across the business within the entity
- Design, coordinate and execute risk and control assessments including continuous monitoring activities
- Produce risk management papers for entity risk management meeting, 1LOD forum, EXCO updates, compliance reviews and operational risk reviews
- Oversight of remediation of issues arising from, first line identification of control deficiencies, internal and external incidents, including deep dive reviews to identify root cause
- Foster Non-Financial Risk awareness culture in HSBC Life
- Coordinate activities with Non-Financial Risk and Internal Controls Function (Second Line of Defence) and Group Internal Audit (Third Line of Defence)
Requirements

Knowledge
- Maintain awareness of Non-Financial Risk and minimize the likelihood of its occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with the Group requirements
- Business audit experience would be an advantage
- Good knowledge & understanding of insurance and banking products and operations
- Experienced with working in a global organization as a People manager

**Skills**:

- Effective communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills
- Excellent decision making and problem solving ability
- Strong self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and under pressure

Qualification
- University degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline qualification.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years' relevant experience in financial services industry
