Manager to Senior Manager Business Innovation

**What the role is**

Technology & Transformation is no longer “nice to have”, but imperative to survive and thrive in the new operating environment. In April 2021, STB launched the Tourism Technology Transformation Cube (Tcube) - a hybrid innovation space that brings STB’s digital initiatives, resources and thought-leadership content onto a single platform to support our tourism sector’s digital transformation.
We are looking for a digital transformation manager to:

- Drive digital transformation and technology adoption in the tourism sector for business transformation, experience enhancement and operational efficiency.
- Forge partnerships with key stakeholders to strengthen digital capabilities and drive digital innovations both in STB and across the industry
- Build up STB's innovation and technology network in Singapore and globally

**What you will be working on**
- Tourism industry development
1. Provide business consultancy services and technology advice to stakeholders to co-develop customised digital strategies and proof of concepts (i.e. identify gaps and opportunities in the areas of innovation and technology adoption. Application includes emerging technology such as 5G Extended Reality, sustainability and wellness technologies.
2. Build relationships with, and account manage key tourism stakeholders to support their transformation, drive tech change management and encourage adoption of Tcube initiatives
3. Keep up to date on the latest technologies and their applicability to the tourism industry
4. Administer grants to financially support industry to adopt technologies
- Project Management
1. Oversee the administration, engagement and analysis of the Tourism Transformation Index (TXI). TXI is the diagnostic tool and measurement of the tourism sector’s digital transformation
2. Drive and develop new innovative initiatives to support the tourism sectors’ digital transformation (e.g. through workshops and prototyping projects)
3. Conduct user research and facilitate design thinking workshops and engagements to elicit user requirements from stakeholders, ideate and scope meaningful pilot programmes
4. Develop, manage and assess programmes to deliver quality outcomes.
5. Work closely with stakeholders, engage suitable external consultants and vendors to support tourism sector stakeholders
- Community engagement
1. Support the development of Tcube initiatives such as identifying opportunities for collaboration
2. Build relationships with the key tourism stakeholders, government agencies and the wider innovation community (e.g. tech solution providers, designers, business process consultants etc).
3. Manage the strategic comms to build up STB's credibility as a technology enabler for the tourism industry.

**What we are looking for**
- Experience with working with businesses on digital transformation to develop strategies, identify gaps and opportunities, develop new products etc. Proven track record in engaging relevant stakeholders (e.g. Government, Tourism and/or Technology sectors) will be an advantage
- Functional business consultancy skills like workshop facilitation, design thinking, journey mapping, lean management, business process re-design etc.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make sound judgements
- Business acumen with the ability to think strategically
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver projects
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to maintain relationships with potential partners and comfortable to interact with people from senior management levels
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Strong interest or basic knowledge of digital transformation concepts and technologies e.g. Agile, Design Thinking, APIs, Robotics, AR/VR, AI etc
