Finance Statistician

The Statistician is responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing statistical data. This role involves providing insights into the economy and the social aspects of the population. The Statistician conducts research and prepares analytical reports for the Department of Statistics in Singapore or China. The data collected is also valuable for general research and planning purposes. This position may require specialization in fields such as economic statistics, population and demography, business statistics, or price statistics.

**Description**:

- Utilize statistics, probability, and risk theory to evaluate potential financial impacts of future events.
- Design and develop questionnaires.
- Assess the reliability of findings, especially in business or medical fields.
- Evaluate, process, analyze, and interpret statistical data.
- Plan and organize surveys and other statistical data collections.
- Prepare scientific papers, reports, and statistical data for publication.
- Study, improve, and develop statistical theories and methodologies.

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree in Finance or Ecomomics or related field
- Team player and able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to present solutions to complex problems logically and systematically across various industries.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin for effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with external vendors will be an added advantage.
