Meranti Power Pte Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is continuing to recruit additional new staff to manage and operate the new power generation stations on Jurong Island. We are inviting applicants for the position of Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSHE) Executive who shall report to the Chief Safety and Security Officer. The scope and requirements are as follows:
**Responsibilities**
- Implement and monitor the safety, security, health & environmental management system.
- Assists with the development of SSHE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as statutory requirements.
- Involved in organizing and conducting SSHE-related activities, training and programs to create awareness among employees.
- Administration and record keeping e.g. SSHE audits, reports, certifications.
- Ensure that all personnel comply with company SSHE requirements.
- Support in planning, coordinating and implementation of site safety, occupational health, environmental, fire prevention and emergency response plans.
- Develop and Implement policy, standards, guidelines and best practice and to help to ensure compliance with regulations and Company standards.
- Understanding of what is required for best practice site security provisions in accordance with competent authority recommendations.
- Develop and implement policy, standards, guidelines and best practice to ensure compliance with security regulations and guidelines.
- Support where applicable security risk assessments and self-audits.
- Provide advice and support for the preparation and during regulatory, certification/accreditation (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001, SS651, etc) and subsequent resolution of any nonconformities or improvement actions identified.
- Provide support to ensure that Safety Case remains updated and relevant to operations site and coordinate the follow-up to the safety case conclusions (Action items in Proposed Intervention Priorities (PIP) and Intervention Plan (IP) are completed).
- Act as audit focus point and coordinate internal/external audits and fact-finding and provide general support in response to colleague queries.Participate, where appropriate, in incident investigations, which require significant systems skills and expertise e.g. significant incident investigation and causal tree development.

**Requirements**:

- Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health/Advanced Certificate in WSH or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates who are interested in a career in HSE are welcomed to apply
- Preferably with basic knowledge of working in the plant environment or related industries.
- Understands fundamental HSE concepts, practices and procedures as well as regulatory compliance requirements.
- Meticulous, pro-active with positive attitude and willing to learn
- Self-motivated independent and has sound analytical and communication skills and is a team worker.
- Knowledge of Singapore legislation for HSE.
- Working knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & SS 651
- Risk assessment and audit skills.
- Turnaround/Major inspection (MI) safety management experience will have an added advantage.
- Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower will have an added advantage.
- Certified FSM with SCDF will have an added advantage.
- Willing to work in Jurong Island. _(Morning transportation pick-up points available at different parts of Singapore.) _
