Roles & Responsibilities

**Position Description**

Morgan Stanley is looking for a talented individual to join a team of information security experts responsible for protecting Firm, client, and employee sensitive/confidential data. The Information Security Incident Response team is responsible for managing the detection and reporting of information security and insider threat incidents, supporting all Firm Business Units. The Team coordinates with the Business Units, Legal, Corporate Security, and Technology teams to gather incident details, assess risk and assist with remediation, ensuring compliance to regulatory and Firm standards.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage a team of incident response analysts to support the Firm’s daily coordination and remediation of data loss or insider threat events
- Provide operational oversight and ensure consistency in the tracking and remediation of information security events
- Serve as the focal point for larger information security incidents including providing awareness and debriefing to senior management
- Engage with key regional stakeholders to understand evolving BU or Regulatory requirements and ensure team operations are appropriately aligned
- Proactively participate in the continuous review of information security incidents and root cause analysis, to highlight control gaps across the organization or process gaps within the team
- Perform QA checks on incidents and consistently look for automation opportunities
- Active involvement and contribute to global projects/Initiatives
- Provide on call and out of hours support
**Skills required**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
- 10 years of experience in an incident management, information security, digital investigations, or similar role
- Leadership experience with people management in operations functions
- Ability to effectively host calls with senior members of the Firm, translate complex technical problems, and develop quick response plans to information security incidents
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Very strong verbal and written English communications skills
- Organized, attentive to detail with planning and deductive reasoning skillset
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible and self-motivator
**Skills Desired**
- Working knowledge of incident tracking or case management solutions, and DLP detection products
- Analytics or SIEM correlation experience, skillset, or background
- Knowledge or experience in supporting Insider Threat mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of personal data protection regulations
- Industry standard information security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM etc.)
