**The Role**
This job opportunity will fulfil the role of senior enterprise architect - core banking anchoring as chief architect for leading BFS customer in the region.

As senior enterprise architect - core banking supporting large and fast-growing BFS account of Cognizant, you will play a key role in designing and influencing multiple client initiatives across technology and business transformation to be more lean, agile and engineering focused organization. As senior enterprise architect, you will hold accountability for the overall vision, mind share creation, technology roadmap, and key components of enterprise architecture.

As a key member of Banking and Financial Services (BFS) industry practice, you will also have responsibility to collaborate with fellow architects and solution SMEs to develop thought leadership and asset base that will help Cognizant win new business and also help deliver high quality solution in a repeatable manner across engagements. Nurturing talent, enablement and evangelization are also expected to be areas of contribution from a practice perspective.

Overall, the role demands a good mix of advisory, solutioning and hands-in technical implementations skills in contemporary software design styles and technology platforms.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain relationship with Enterprise architecture, CTO / CIO of the client organizations, and be the sparring partner providing thought leadership and create mind share
- Build a reputation as a trusted partner who understands technology in context of client’s business and collaborates to deliver on commitments and drive business result
- Help Customer in their technology roadmap, Digital Journey and share industry views
- Anchoring end to end solution for large complex pursuits, proactive proposal, responding to RFPs and business development activities steering win themes, solution consideration, and robust design
- Participate in critical delivery programs, provide architectural governance to ensure high quality software product delivery, risk & technical debt management, strategic alignment, and operational readiness of the delivered solution

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum of 18+ years of experience in IT/Business/Consulting domain, focusing on architecting solutions of strategic importance to their organization/clients
- Experience in setting up and driving architecture governance, EA practice, particularly supporting large pursuit as well as actual execution of such complex programs
- Strong experience as a domain-aligned architect, background as architect in one or more of the core banking sub-domains in private banking and wealth management context, areas like Loans and Deposits, Payments, Securities processing, custody and asset servicing
- Exposure to solution design and architecture across core banking areas, particularly around vendor solutions. Working experience / knowledge of a core banking software like Temenos, Finastra, Avaloq, etc. will be an added advantage
- Solid understanding of different software development lifecycle models and expert knowledge in agile and traditional principles, with the ability to blend processes to find the right fit for technology and business.
- Understanding of the breadth of end-to-end technology stack and depth in at least one cloud-oriented platforms (preferably MS Azure) being used in enterprise business software space
- A strong foundation on systems thinking, design thinking, complexity management and domain driven design paradigms
- Understanding of role and positioning of data & analytics, cloud and systems engineering in enterprise business software and digital transformation programs across banking and financial services industry
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
