Human by nature.**Purpose**: As a Senior Toxicologist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing regulatory policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and safety requirements. Your responsibilities will include providing regulatory consulting to senior management, managing regulatory responsibilities for specific regions or business units, developing policies and procedures, and ensuring the integrity of regulatory databases.**Core Responsibilities**
- Product Safety Assurance- Support Product Safety Science strategy in APAC region and oversight of study timelines, including close partnership with strategic CROs
- Be part of high performing Human Health team with interdependencies between functions (Regulatory, Registration, S&T, Formula Management)
- Develop and maintain process for safety review of new and existing fragrances, Oral Care or any new Givaudan technologies
- Provide excellence in human health safety that demonstrate the safe use of our ingredients and products to customers and regulators
- Ensure close collaboration with key internal stakeholders and customers
- Provides internal and external industry guidance to maintain current safety evaluation processes based on developing regulations
- Ensure all new and existing products comply with customer safety guidelines, government regulations and trade association safety requirements
- Regulatory Policy- Provide Givaudan management guidance on complex regulatory, safety or product compliance issues
- Provide guidance to Global RAPS senior management on complex regulatory, safety or product compliance issues in APAC region
- Lead efforts by external trade associations to mitigate impact of regulatory changes
- Provide guidance to external partners on industry related issues that impact the ability to internalize or develop external technologies
- Interpret scientific and technical data impacting Givaudan’s Global Regulatory Toxicology group
- Provide leadership for Givaudan’s regulatory and scientific advocacy programs to support our current and future initiatives
- Represent Givaudan on Industry safety committees

- Advanced University / MS Degree / Ph. D in scientific field (toxicology, biochemistry, chemistry or related areas)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience in product safety or relevant scientific area and/or regulatory affairs
- Fluent Chinese and English
- Extensive and recognized technical expertise in a given area of science, product safety, or regulatory affairs
- Proven track record of advanced technical contributions in the industry
- Extensive working knowledge of a specific regulatory or toxicology discipline and ability to manage that discipline within a broader regulatory environment
- Advanced knowledge of programmed systems and database management
- Expert knowledge of fragrance regulations, chemistry, biology or toxicology
- Expert knowledge of safety assessment or ingredient registration processes
- Advanced University / MS Degree / Ph. D in scientific field (toxicology, biochemistry, chemistry or related areas)
