**What will you be doing?**

The 1st Engineer is responsible to the Chief Engineer for operations and maintenance of the engine rooms and propulsion equipment on board and may act as the Chief Engineer's deputy in the running of the Technical Department.

To be considered for this position/role, applicants will need to have completed their Certificate of Competency Section A-III/2 of the STCW Code, a recognized Seamans Book and be conversant in vessel Safety Management Systems and well as Security Awareness training relevant for the position.
