**What the role is**
- Head (Sensor Deployment) is responsible to lead in the planning and delivery of enterprise capabilities projects. In addition, this role is required to work with Deputy Director (Wireless Access & Sensor Deployment) to drive Sensor Deployment focusing on sensors technologies, roadmap and sensory management.
The jobholder is also required to support on the coordination of initiatives to mobilize and orchestrate with officers across the different pillars within the Enterprise Group and across different units within and outside of HTX, such as other Programme Management Centres (PMCs), Centre of Experts (COE), Plans, Capability Sustainment, Home Team Departments (HTDs), Whole of Government (WOG) and industry partners.

**What you will be working on**
- Plan, develop, and manage the delivery of multiple, large and complex sensors deployment island wide.
- Lead the team to implement projects based on approved project plans that meet all identified operational needs, project risks, budget, schedule, and quality.
- Support installation design and capacity planning for sensors system design and configuration changes.
- Understand the various prevailing policies and security guidelines and to ensure the system and processes are designed to comply with these policies and guidelines.
- Ensure proper integration and testing of all hardware and software components so that the system is delivered according to contractual requirements.
- Plan and ensure optimum resources (budget and manpower) allocated for the approved projects.
- Have full oversight of the projects’ status and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the programme office and align solutions with the enterprise sense-making platform to ensure seamless ops capability delivery.
- Collaborate with other HTX and Home Team users to contribute to the implementation of sensors deployment and continuous enhancement of processes.
- Lead discussions with all relevant parties including external government agencies, industry partners, Home Team Departments (HTDs) to ensure successful delivery of projects and capabilities.
- Work with external agencies and/or HTDs in terms of collaboration or building system of systems at a larger Whole-of-Government (WOG) level, with the interest of HTX and MHA in mind.
- Lead in sensors system life cycle (technology selection, system onboarding, system maintenance and system decommissioning).
- Develop and maintain domain competencies like sensor setup, installation template, optimization of Field of View for Video Analytics.
- Define training and competency certifications required for Sensor Deployment.
- Provide high level support to Cap Sustainment.
- Establish the on-boarding process of HTDs’ capabilities to sensors through structuring and standardising the interface requirement specifications, cost and delivery schedules.
**What we are looking for**
- Tertiary qualification in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, or other related Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in computer networking or the sensor and surveillance industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.
- Strong understanding in one or more of the following areas:
- Deployment and maintenance of Large-scale Front-End Sensors
- Work with multiple stakeholders on verifications of optimal on-site deployment
- Good understanding on System and Network Integration
- Infrastructure Construction to support ICT equipment (e.g., Structures, Electrical, Network Installation, Wireless Transmission, etc.)
- Cybersecurity on edge sensors integration
- Strong interest in technologies and innovation.
- Strong planning and project management skills, with facilitation skills, problem-solving skills and organising capabilities.
- Good communication and people skills in dealing with both internal customers, as well as external parties such as vendors.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Competent, self-motivated, pro-active, dedicated, and responsible as well as having the ability to work independently without the need for close supervision.
All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
