In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our state-of-the-art pilot plant and chemistry development laboratories, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals and collaborate with various departments in R&D and Global Supply Chain to drive innovation and continuous improvement.**: **This role will report to the Vice President Global Clinical Manufacturing within Clinical Supply Chain and will be responsible in leading a cross-functional team of 57 people in the scale-up and manufacture of drug substance for clinical studies, secondary development and site stability batches.**: **Why you?**: **Key Responsibilities**: - ** Oversee the daily operations of the Jurong Pilot Plant, ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.**: - ** Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.**: - ** Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and achieve operational excellence.**: - ** Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to support the development and scale-up of new products.**: - ** Identify and mitigate potential risks to plant operations, ensuring business continuity.**: - ** Manage the annual plant budget of > 10 million pounds, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.**: - ** Identify, develop, design and establish facilities to implement new modalities as required by the R&D portfolio. Manage capital projects up to 20 million pounds within the existing team.**: - ** Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance plant capabilities and efficiency.**: - ** Ensure timely and accurate reporting of plant performance metrics and progress towards goals.**: - ** Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities.
