Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFF) is the official association for the têxtile and fashion industry in Singapore and plays an active role in the development of the industry. TaFF is the operator for The Cocoon Space and Design Orchard Retail Showcase (DORS).

**DORS**, the retail showcase located at level one of Design Orchard and situated in the centre of Orchard Road, provides a physical retail space for new and emerging designers, at the renowned shopping belt of Singapore. It has the largest collection of locally-based designer brands in Singapore.

**Career Opportunity / Role Overview**:
The Retail Supervisor is a key member of the DORS family and the face of DORS to our customers. Knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, you will provide a unique experience that embodies our Brand DNA.

As this role is in a service environment, you should be someone who has strong communication and interpersonal skills with a great and welcoming personality. He/She should inspire, lead and develop the team to deliver a seamless customer experience to make every visit to DORS unforgettable.

You will have opportunities for growth and career progression; both within the Store (Senior Supervisor / Manager positions) or within other functions such as Retail Operations, Marketing and more.

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store.
- Supervise and/or perform cashiering duties (such as handling the point-of-sale and NETS systems)
- Train, mentor, coach and develop new full-time retail employees, including brand and product familiarization, in addition to the operational systems.
- Manage and/or perform housekeeping duties to keep the store clean and tidy.
- Meet sales goals by motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to retail staff and store manager.
- Manage stock levels and assist the store manager in making decisions with regards to stock control.
- Ensure high levels of customer’s satisfaction through excellent service.
- Ensure that safety, security, and administration procedures are followed.
- Have good product knowledge of the products in the store and be clear with the on-going promotions in the store.
- Assist with any other duties and tasks as assigned by our Store Manager.

**Pre-requisites**:

- Have experience in a supervisory capacity at a retail store, or similar.
- Are self-motivated and a good communicator with leadership experience.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers.
- Have a positive, cheerful demeanor, and be a team player.
- Are excited about, and supportive of, local fashion brands, products, and stories.
- Are enthusiastic about speaking, storytelling, and recommending said products.
