**Job Purpose**:
The Design Head leads the entire design function within the company, overseeing all architectural, structural, and M&E design activities. This role is pivotal in ensuring innovative, cost-effective, and constructible design solutions that align with client requirements and regulatory standards. The Design Head acts as the primary technical authority, managing a multidisciplinary design team and driving the company’s design vision and strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead, mentor, and manage the design department, including architects, engineers, and coordinators, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Set strategic direction for design methodologies, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Oversee the development and delivery of conceptual, schematic, and detailed designs across all project stages.
- Review and approve all design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Foster strong collaboration with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure seamless integration of design with project execution.
- Manage client and consultant relationships, participating in design presentations, negotiations, and issue resolution.
- Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize design costs without compromising quality or functionality.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes and implement best practices within the team.
- Develop and enforce design quality control procedures and performance metrics.
- Prepare and manage design budgets and resource allocation across projects.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional registration (e.g., PEng, RIBA) preferred.
- Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in design leadership within the construction industry.
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, and structural analysis tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead innovation and drive continuous improvement in design delivery.
