**Sr. DDR Memory Diagnostics Engineer**

**The Role**:
Daily work involves code development, debug, and emulation for HW feature validation. You will be asked to root cause and solve HW and SW problems. AMD's environment is fast paced, results oriented and built upon a legion of forward-thinking people with a passion for winning technology

**The Person**:

- Excellent knowledge of hardware/software integration and standard diagnostic testing techniques
- Sophisticated developer in a complex software environment
- Outstanding problem-solving capabilities and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills

**Key Responsibilities**:

- The design and verification of diagnostics of chip qualification and production test suites for both internal and external customers (your code will have an important role in finding HW and production defects)
- Understand HW features, DDR standards/protocols and technical requirements to implement robust diagnostics of memory IP functional features
- Identifying and solving HW and SW/FW problems
- Analyzing fall out boards to find opportunities to improve execution time and efficiency of diagnostics
- Support and resolve customer issues, including investigation and debugging of diagnostics source code
- ASIC bring-up and support activities

**Preferred Experience**:
This position requires knowledge and skills in both software and hardware engineering:

- BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Good knowledge and experience in software programming (C++, scripting)
- Familiarity with PC and CPU architectures
- Experience with software development and debugging in Linux
- Source control systems (e.g. git)
- Self-leadership and independence, along with excellent communication skills to work with internal architecture, development and validation teams
- Experience in memory standards and technologies such as DDR, GDDR, LPDDR, HBM and others is a plus
