**. QAQC Inspector (Fabrication /Welding)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Preparing or establishing that a welding procedure is available, has been approved as

required by the appropriate authority and is being employed in production.
- Witnessing of welder and procedure approval tests that including of the preparation of test

pieces and destructive tests and verifying compliance with appropriate standards and

specifications.
- Verification that adequate and valid welder approvals are available, and that only approved

welders as required are used in production.
- Interpretation of weld drawings and weld symbols.
- Performing of visual inspection and ensure that all finished goods are checked and approved

prior to any delivery of handover.
- Verification that post weld heat treatment has been conducted in accordance with

specification requirements.
- Appreciation of the factors influencing the formation of weld defects and their acceptability

in relation to the written specification.
- Coordination with QC Inspector (Hull/Structure and Piping) and NDT Coordinator, to verify

and ensure that all finished welds are checked and approved prior to any delivery of

handover.
- Ensure that quality assurance standards and procedures are maintained.
- Ensure that reports that are required are completed accordingly to the project

specifications.
- Liaise with Contractor, Production and Client’s representative to ensure the product is

checked and complied with the project quality plan and specifications.
- Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health

and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Diploma in Engineering or relevant field of International certification (e.g. AWSCWI or CSWIP 3.1 WI).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
- Physically fit since some of tasks require lifting of some equipment.
- A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Good communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task
- Computer literary (MS. Office).
