**The Company**

Awin Resource International Pte Ltd is a commodity trading arm of Global Fortune 500-listed conglomerate Amer International Group, which has interests across the physical metals value chain in mainland China. Awin Resource International Pte Ltd, an independent company domiciled in Singapore, was incorporated in 2011 to facilitate procurement for the parent company. However, the primary focus is to actively build a wider array of trading position across the non-ferrous, ferrous and precious metals platforms while concurrently in pursuit of upstream (mining) or downstream(cable/wiring, logistics/warehousing) investment projects that will bring forth additional off-take of physical and futures volumes to the trading books. Awin Resource International Pte Ltd is looking to further expand its trading horizon through the exploration of niche marketing of specific soft commodities in its current 5 year business plan.

**The Role: Derivatives, Hedge & Physical Trader**

The position will be based in Singapore and undertake the following responsibilities:
**_Derivatives/Hedge_**
- Effectively risk manage and hedge physical non-ferrous metals positions, providing liquidity for physical metals traders based in Shanghai and Singapore
- Within predetermined risk limits, actively trade on a proprietary basis. Initially focus on base metals futures, forwards, swaps, vanilla options, relativity spreads across commodities; to optimize P&L - targets to be defined with General Manager
- Trade LME / SHFE arbitrage. May also trade other global arbitrage opportunities and exchanges (CMX, SGX, NYM, ICE), as pre-agreed with General Manager
- Actively reporting daily, weekly and monthly Marked-to-Market PNL variances to Management

**_Physical Trading_**
- Establish physical base metals trade flows and build volumes for Awin Resource, internationally
- With support from General Manager to maintain, develop and leverage personal and franchise relationships with domestic and international traders, end users and producers; to grow Awin refined metals trading footprint internationally
- Identify proprietary trading opportunities across refined metals through long term and spot trades, and structured trade financing flows to enhance P&L - on a global basis
- Work closely with hedge desk to ensure that physical exposures are effectively managed; and with trade finance team in relation to bank lines and trading limits
- On an ad hoc basis to be aware of potential opportunities for Awin to develop its investment / asset base, e.g. off take opportunities
- Work closely and share information with internal research team to consolidate information base of key market drivers, physical metals & minerals import / export tends, etc.
- Drive the expansion of the global physical team and in future to manage direct reports as the business grows
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reporting and annual business plan and budget.

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of experience within commodity trading and be able to point to demonstrable returns on proprietary metals trading strategy
- Educated to graduate level in a numerate discipline
- Will balance this with experience of managing client flows / hedging
- Is likely to come from a quantitative background, with a technical approach to trading. Will demonstrate comprehensive market risk and accounting standards knowledge
- Effectively bi-lingual to deal with China’s associates
- Will be a proficient organizer and proven multitasker
- Prepared to undertake business travel

**Salary**: $4,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month

Supplemental Pay:

- 13th month salary
