**Role**

We are looking for an experienced, mid-level Strategist to join our growing team of talented strategists in Singapore and Malaysia. Our Singapore office is the hub office servicing the SEA markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia for Apple.

The Senior Strategist will champion cultural insights, strategic craft and storytelling, while being a brand guardian and creative partner across SEA markets specifically Malaysia. They are aware and passionate about the business of tech and the culture that surrounds it. Leveraging this combined savviness to identify new business & creative opportunities for our team & our clients.They will play a vital role in providing local insights into the audience and become the cultural expert of SEA with a focus on Malaysia. They will also be responsible for the effectiveness of our work.

The Senior Strategist is expected to lead their projects and run them independently. Over time, they will be expected to become an expert in the tech category, competitive environment and wider consumer mindset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop knowledge and insights about consumers, competitors, behavioural trends and culture in SEA and turn them into rich strategic opportunities and creative springboards.
- Write sharp, inspiring creative briefs & presentations; conduct and synthesise research; and manage campaign reports working closely with data strategist and media agency.
- Be the strategic steward of the team while collaborating with creatives to push for excellence.
- Add value to the MAL SEA strategy department by driving process, sharing inspiration, being a mentor, being a collaborator with other markets.
- Manage junior strategists within SEA while managing up to the SEA Head of Strategy.

**Who will thrive in this role?**
- 6-8+ years’ experience with advertising/marketing background on client or agency side (consulting agency, creative agency, or trend-watching/research agency)
- They must have a fascination with culture and consumer behaviour, and passionate about creative outputs.
- Can demonstrate commitment to strategic craft through presentations, case studies, or award submissions.
- Is inherently creative, appreciates creative craft and has worked on recognised creative campaigns in the region. In other words, someone who will go the extra mile to push for great work because ‘good enough isn’t good enough’.
- Team player who enjoys working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment where credits are tertiary to the work and the satisfaction of our client.
- Fluent in English verbally and written & other SEA languages is desirable.
