The role**:
Are you an entrepreneur at heart with a technology background? We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the first ever Plusgrade Labs team. Labs will be an agile team of 5-6 ambitious individuals focused on identifying and launching new Ancillary Revenue products. We will move with purpose and speed creating proof of concepts and rapid prototypes, having a lot of fun along the way.

Joining Labs is a chance to be creative and be involved in the entire software lifecycle. You will take an active part in product ideation, planning, delivery, and iteration. A senior, full stack developer is required for this role. If you are a “smart creative” and can combine great ideas with a technical way of thinking, this role could be perfect for you.

Home base for this role is Plusgrade’s Montreal office, however we offer a flexible work from home policy.

Qualifications: *
- You have managed a team of developers and delivered a product you are proud of.
- You can lead a technical architecture discussion in front of a whiteboard and help drive technical decisions.
- You have a business/commercial mindset and can think outside the box
- You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability.
- You are a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other developers is no problem for you.
- You possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
- You have experience designing and implementing software in Java or.Net and deployed in the cloud (AWS preferred)
- You have experience with mySQL and databases
- You have a strong understanding of testing and the test pyramid. You have an understanding of pipelines and feedback loops. You have a delivery focused mindset.
- You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
