**[What you will be working on]**
You will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct research in rodent ecology, including laboratory testing of biological samples
- Perform field sampling and data collection at various sites across Singapore
- Analyse research data using statistical methods and data analytics tools
- Coordinate research projects and maintain project timelines
**[What we are looking for]**
The traineeship might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
- Degree in Rodent/Small Mammal Ecology, Zoology, or related life sciences field
- Strong laboratory skills in molecular biology techniques (including DNA barcoding, qPCR and NGS methodologies)
- Knowledge of small mammal systematics, biology, ecology, and/or field surveillance methods
- Basic proficiency in biostatistics and statistical software packages
- Physically fit for fieldwork activities
- Experienced in animal dissection and morpho-taxonomy (preferred)
- Experience in BSL-2 laboratory work (preferred)
- Valid Class 3 driving licence with willingness to drive to field sites (vehicle provided)
Successful applicant will be offered a 6-months traineeship.
