We are hiring a Content and Digital Media Manager to work closely with the Strategy Director, and Executive Director, to engage stakeholders and audiences of the Institute through evidence-driven, balanced and policy relevant work that is best-in-class in terms of originality, significance and rigour.
**The Day-to-Day Activities**
- To pitch, review, commission, write, design and edit weekly story ideas / op-eds based on regional and national developments pertinent to the aims and work of the Institute.
- To lead the content strategy and execution for the Institute’s key dialogue platforms and research. This would include producing content and knowledge products, visualising data, ensuring distribution and amplification to ensure optimal digital media coverage for all of the Institute’s activities.
- Working with colleagues to secure partnerships to drive greater value from content and digital media investments. Examples include developing long-tail content pieces with partners, and driving third-party republishing agreements between the Institute and content partners to contribute towards higher traffic to the Institute’s website, LinkedIn, as well as participation at the Institute’s events.
- To support any speechwriting needs for management.
- Developing new content formats, including but not limited to data visualisation, new information design formats, video, to further the impact of the Institute’s work.
- To implement and use analytical tools to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Institute’s communication strategy and execution, to inform decision making.
- Any other duties may be assigned from time to time to further establish and develop the organisation.
**The Must-Haves**
- 8-10 years of experience in the area of digital media and communications. Proven history of news/feature writing, commissioning, editing, media relations/communications, project management, digital development, and managing a brand.
- Knowledge of issues that pertain to SE Asia’s digital economy
- Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline of quality content directly, and in partnership with other 3rd-party support that is effective at informing as well as apprising the broader public on important matters on SE Asia’s digital economy.
- Strong experience in developing / project-managing the execution of compelling digital experiences for information exchange, advocacy or education..
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating the performance of content on digital platforms for responsive decision making.
- Experience in producing content, information design and other forms of storytelling.
- Experience in community engagement is a plus.
