**Job scope**:

- To be the main teacher in teaching English/Phonics to kids aged 18 mths to 8 yrs old;
- You might be teaching our fun, multi-sensory Math programme if you are passionate about Math
- Core working hours are weekends 8.30 am to 7 pm;
- Lesson Preparation on weekdays; and
- Ad-hoc Receptionist duties and centre maintenance whenever required (we’re a small family so everybody chips in).

**Responsibilities**:

- Able to work on weekdays from 9 to 6pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 8.30 to 7pm (off days are on Wednesdays and Thursdays).
- The learning journey of the little ones under your care.

**Requirements**:

- Singaporean
- Preferably holding a degree in Early Childhood, Performing Arts/Theatre or any relevant degree.
- Diploma holders are welcome to apply.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Graduates with some teaching experience will be preferred (tuition or volunteering counts). But if you have some Teaching Superpower (like the ability to get 30 kids to listen to you in 10 seconds), we want you too
- Ability to conduct lessons in a fun, engaging, and effective way.
- Salary: Starting from $2300 (depending on number of working days, relevant work and teaching experience)
- Phonics and English training will be provided. (Skills-future approved)Curious Thoughts Academy is an English Learning Centre specialising in Phonics and English lessons.

We have a “Pay-it-forward” system where every 3 paying students from the public helps pay for a beneficiary’s phonics, English or Math lessons. We believe that children from all walks of life should be able to learn to read and this includes those who have Dyslexia, learning difficulities or mild special needs.

We believe in an evidence-based literacy programme and we are looking for like-minded individuals who want to change lives through literacy and numeracy

Curious Thoughts Academy is a teacher-owned company with no private investors. This means that all decisions pertaining to our curriculum are made based on the best interests of the child.

We’re not stressed by financial concerns such as looking at “Return on Investments” for private investors or at maximising profitability. We believe in providing quality education at a reasonable price.
