**Job Description of Security Consultant**

Faced with ever-increasing threats to IT security, organizations need to maintain a vigilant approach to protect their systems and data, and a Security Lead plays a key role in this process. Red Sentry is hiring a Security Consultant to start the Cyber Security Services offerings and are responsible for a number of functions associated with IT security - from conducting reviews of software security, through to updating information security policies.

**Duties and responsibilities of the job**

A Security Consultant job description should include the following responsibilities:

- To deliver Cyber Security Services offerings provided by Red Sentry to clients
- Be part of a team to evaluate new Cyber Security Solutions in the market
- Be part of the team to discuss on the design, implementation, operation and maintenance security management systems for clients
- Conduct information security management reviews and information security management system (ISMS) assessments for clients and in-house staff
- Ability to Access Vulnerability Assessment, Pen-testing, reporting, and presenting recommendations to clients
- Familiar with the type of Vulnerability Assessment and Pen-testing tools in the market
- Ensure technical implementation and business processes are aligned and conform to the regulation.
- Participate in the creation, review and update of information security policies for clients
- Provide complex technical advice, recommendations and consultancy on networks, infrastructure, products and services supplied
- Provide or assist with implementation documentation
- Ongoing project management

**Requirements**:
Holding a diploma and having a technical background will be preferred to gain a Security Consultant role. As well as formal qualifications, a Security Consultant must demonstrate the following qualities:

- Have relevant experience in information security management and related functions such as IT Risk Management, Troubleshooting and Responding
- Ability to align information security policies with business requirements for Clients and In-House Projects
- Flair for translating information security requirements into IT security controls and measures
- Attention to detail
- Enjoy working in a team and in a fast-growing environment
- Take real pride in the work you do
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
- Project management skills and an ability to translate business requirements into technical IT security deliverables
