Netsuite Data Analyst

Working as part of the Global NetSuite support team, the role will play a crucial role in harnessing the power of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to provide actionable insights and support informed decision-making.

Your primary responsibilities will include extracting, analysing, and visualising data from various ERP modules, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Leveraging your technical and analytical skills, you will contribute to optimising business processes and enhancing the overall efficiency of our organisation.

The role shall require strong coordination and planning skills, as well as a deep understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Ideally suited to a person with a blend of abilities including strong technical knowledge (Accountancy & ERP) with an aptitude for detailed analysis, methodical working, loyalty, teamwork, and customer focus.

**Key Responsibilities include**:
Data Extraction & Integration:

- Extracting data from various modules and databases within the ERP system.
- Integrating data from different sources to provide a comprehensive view.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Creating reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI or other reporting tools.

Database Management:

- Managing and maintaining the integrity of the ERP database.
- Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

SQL Querying:

- Writing and executing SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data within the ERP database.

Data Cleansing & Quality Assurance:

- Cleaning and pre-processing data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Implementing data quality checks and measures.

Customisation & Configuration:

- Configuring the ERP system to meet specific reporting and analytical requirements.
- Customising reports and dashboards based on user needs.

Diagnostics & Issue Resolution:

- Identifying and resolving data-related issues or discrepancies within the ERP system.
- Collaborating with NS & IT support teams to address technical problems.

User Training & Support:

- Providing training to end-users on how to use reporting tools and interpret data.
- Offering support to users experiencing difficulties with data access or analysis.

Security & Compliance:

- Ensuring data security within the ERP system.
- Adhering to industry regulations and compliance standards related to data management.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

- Collaborating with various teams to understand their data requirements.
- Working closely with group finance, GMC group, and executives to provide data-driven insights.

Ad-hoc Analysis:

- Conducting ad hoc analyses based on specific business inquiries or challenges.
- Responding to urgent data requests from management.

**Skills Required**:
ERP System Knowledge:

- Strong understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Up-to-date knowledge & experience of NetSuite ERP platform would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in navigating and extracting data from ERP systems.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create meaningful reports and dashboards.

SQL & Databases:

- Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) for querying and manipulating data within the ERP database.
- Understanding of database structures and relationships.

Excel:

- Advanced skills in Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Excel functions and formulas.

Business Intelligence (BI) Tools:

- Familiarity with BI tools beyond Excel, such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, to create interactive and dynamic reports.

Programming & Scripting:

- Basic programming skills can be beneficial, especially if the ERP system allows customisation or if there's a need for automation.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation and automation.

Data Cleansing & Quality Management:

- Ability to clean and pre-process data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
