We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist with expertise in recommendation systems and extensive experience working with large-scale data sets to join a leading technology company. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will have a unique opportunity to drive innovation and make a significant impact by leveraging your skills to enhance recommendation algorithms and deliver personalized user experiences.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and implementation of advanced recommendation systems, utilizing state-of-the-art machine-learning techniques and algorithms.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data-driven solutions.
- Design, develop, and evaluate algorithms and models for recommendation systems, focusing on aspects such as personalization, diversity, and scalability.
- Work with engineering teams to deploy recommendation systems in production environments, ensuring seamless integration, performance optimization, and reliability.
- Conduct rigorous A/B testing and performance evaluation to measure the effectiveness of recommendation algorithms and continuously refine their performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in recommendation systems and related fields, bringing innovative ideas and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative environment of knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish metrics for evaluating the success and impact of recommendation systems.
- Communicate complex findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations and presentations.

**Requirements**:

- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on recommendation systems and a track record of working with large-scale data sets.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, particularly in the context of recommendation systems.
- Strong expertise in handling and analyzing large data sets using tools and frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and natural language processing (NLP) techniques is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex and unstructured data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prior experience in the technology industry or working on recommendation systems for high-traffic platforms is highly desirable.
